I have Much Ado About Swan Queen in the works, heartsways might be talked into A Midsummer Night’s Swan Queen, and then of course ahkna suggested a brilliant AU for The Taming of the Swan Queen ;)
Who else is inspired? Romeo & Juliet with feuding families seems an easy fit - two castles, both alike in dignity, in the Enchanted Forest, where we lay our scene. Regina as Lady Mac? Olivia and Viola in Twelfth Night? Offing a King a la Julius Caesar?
The possibilities seem endless, don’t they?
But not “As You Like It”. It’s already been well documented how SwanQueen likes it. 50 Shades Of Gay.

Do it to it, ladies, do it to it.
#so basically imagine sq having an enemies with benefits type thing #and then imagine an argument between them #with the typical YOU’RE A REPLACEMENT FOR GRAHAM
Swan Queen. Henry’s wedding doesn’t go according to plan.
AU: Where Henry’s belief in fairytales is as misguided as Emma originally believes. I would be lying if I didn’t say this is at least partly inspired by icicleair’s “Carried In A Swarm of Bees”, although things shake out a little differently here.
He picks up the phone ten different times before he can summon the will to press ‘call’. It’s another three attempts before he lets it ring long enough to be picked up. Henry takes a deep breath, swallows, and says hello to his mother for the first time in six years.

Can I just stamp ‘awkward’ on this? I feel like Regina just punished both Henry and Emma to their respective naughty-children-chairs.

“I’m not calling for a second chance,
I’m screaming at the top of my voice.
Give me reason but don’t give me choice
‘Cause I’ll just make the same mistake again.”
